If you browse our website you will clearly see that not only do we have a lot of fun at East Point, but we also do a tremendous amount for good causes.
We are a mixed gender Club, currently having 37 members. Our oldest member is approaching 70 and our youngest is under 40. We want to keep refreshing our ideas and how we operate and we also would like to expand on the service that we provide for the community. In order to do all this we need to continually welcome new members.
Our membership has grown steadily to the present number and we would like to maintain an active (that is people making a positive contribution) membership of at least 40.
Our members join because they want to give something back to the community through some form of service and to enjoy the social side. Their partners often attend social events and help in some of the fundraising activities.
We usually have at least one Club trip each year when we spend two or three days together away in Europe or in the UK.
We meet weekly at 6pm for 6.30pm at the Hotel Victoria on the Lowestoft sea front.
We enjoy a meal together and then either have some form of fellowship event or hear from a speaker on an interesting topic. This can be about something of general interest eg. a concorde pilot or the Chief Constable, or it can be someone from a particular cause which we are thinking of supporting either practically or financially.
