ANNUAL CHARITY CYCLE RIDE
EAST COAST CHILD APPEAL to benefit from 2011 Charity Cycle Ride
Charity Cycle Ride 2011
Emma's name was pulled from a box which contained all the names of the participants who raised £25 or more in sponsorship.
At the presentation at Life Cycles Emma said " she was so delighted at winning the prize , especially as she only did the bike ride after some persuasion from her Father in Law" !
President of Rotary East Point, Pat Peters said " I love our charity cycle ride. Each year the route goes through different parts of our beautiful Suffolk countryside. It is a grand sight to see so many cyclists pedalling for such a good cause.
At the end of the ride there were drinks and a great selection of delicious home made cakes and savouries; a great end to a very rewarding day. I look forward to next year's event."
Event organiser Steve James echoed Pat's feelings and said " The ride would not be possible without the support of all my fellow Rotarians and their partners, whether by marshalling, cycling or providing cakes and refreshments. I would like to take this opportunity to also thank all the cyclists who kindly gave up their time for the ride and for the amounts of sponsorship they so generously raised." The amount raised so far exceeds £3,000
The Beach Bunny was at the presentation because half the money raised this year will be donated to the Beach's Help An East Coast Child Charity . The other half will go into the Rotary Club's charity fund.
Plans are already under way for next year's Bike ride which will hopefully be even more successful.
The prize of the bike was kindly sponsored by The Finance Shop & purchased from Life Cycles
